KYOTO TAUGHT.
DEFINED BY TEN YEARS
OF FLORAL ARTISTRY.
Serena Sensei initiated her study of ikebana over ten years ago, when an initial creative interest evolved into a permanent dedication to mindfulness, seasonality, and grace.
Having transitioned from a career in high-end art at Christie's throughout London, New York, and Asia, she discovered a peaceful cadence in ikebana that fostered tranquility and awareness.
Her path eventually arrived in Kyoto, training at the historic Rokkakudo Temple, the source of the craft, before achieving her 1st Grade Instructor rank.
Now based in London, Serena curates Seasonal installation projects for refined venues and manages workshops at Somerset House.
“Ikebana provides a chance to pause and align with nature. Sustained by five centuries of heritage, this art form teaches us to value the subtle shifts in life: growth, bloom, and change. Through Studio Seren, I invite you to explore Hospitality Experiences and Private Gatherings that celebrate living intentionally and gracefully within the natural world.”
— Serena Sensei, Kyoto-trained First Grade Ikebana Instructor
